TITLE: Do You Like My New Hat?

INSPIRATION: I recently visited to a local farm to take reference photos to create work that focuses on working animals.I took many photos of the baby lambs, and even took part in the morning feed but I knew as soon as I saw this little lamb fling his head back and strike a pose that not only did I need to paint him but that he needed a cowboy hat on too. He looked like the sassiest thing I’d ever seen and it felt like he was coming over to me to show off, and if I had a cowboy hat I’d definitely show it off. This painting captures the sparky personality of this cute lamb and I feel very lucky to have such wonderful animals on my doorstep.
