INSPIRATION: I met this llama at London Zoo and was instantly charmed. I’ve always been a little confused about the difference between llamas and alpacas, but this one made sure I wouldn’t forget him. He bounded over with such joy and posed right in front of me, full of personality. It felt like he was inviting me to notice him, to see him properly. This painting is my response to that encounter, it’s a celebration of his character and the joy he brought to our meeting.
