INSPIRATION: Ever seen a mongoose doing yoga? Well, you have now! When I saw this little guy at Hoo Zoo, he was striking a pose that immediately reminded me of the upward facing dog yoga position, and I knew I had to paint him. In fact, I had the title for this piece before I’d even started painting it! There was something so funny about the way he had stretched himself out, completely unaware that he looked like he was halfway through a yoga session. I was so impressed by his flexibility that I felt he deserved an oil painting dedicated entirely to his unexpected yoga skills.
