TITLE: Bad Hair Day

YEAR: 2025

INSPIRATION: This painting captures the quirky charm of guinea pigs, brought to life by celebrating their wild, untamed hair and disheveled appearance. This piece is inspired by an unforgettable encounter at Tenerife’s Jungle Park, the sight of this particular guinea pig had me crying! I think the messy hair was equal parts ridiculous and endearing, which quite honestly lead to an embarrassing amount of uncontrollable laughter and pure joy. Beneath the hairdo, this piece celebrates the playful and spirited nature of guinea pigs, creatures full of character and charm. Their antics bring so much happiness, making them a wonderful subject to paint. Through this painting, I hope to share a moment of lightheartedness while highlighting the unique personalities that make these little animals so unique.
