INSPIRATION: This piece is created using my own reference photos taken at the truly inspiring Blackpool Zoo. We we saw this ostrich we gazed in awe as his big eyes judged us and watched our every move, the look on his face said we were an inconvenience in his day, but it was when he started to peck at the glass that he showed his true colours. It was as if we’d been summoned by him only for him to tell us off! So naturally my imagination took over, as you can see, my ostrich is now a very stern business bird and I don’t know about you but I don’t think I’d like to get on his wrong side!
