TITLE: Hair Goals

YEAR: 2026

INSPIRATION:This painting was inspired by a very handsome sheep I met at Hoo Zoo, and honestly, I think he might have better hair than me! There was something about his wonderfully wild, fluffy coat that immediately caught my attention… he looked effortlessly cool, completely unaware of just how fabulous he was. I knew I had to paint him, not only because of his impressive hairstyle but because he had such a lovely character. I love those unexpected moments when an animal catches your eye and suddenly you can’t stop thinking about them. I want this piece to celebrate the simple joy of noticing the characters we come across. Sometimes an animal doesn’t need to be rare or exotic to inspire a painting… sometimes they just need really, really good hair. One day, I aspire to be this cool.
