TITLE: 1st Place For Best Horns

INSPIRATION: When I began painting this sheep, I just knew that it would be wearing a gold necklace, but I wasn’t sure why until I started working on its horns. Initially, I had planned to keep the more traditional looking horns that I had seen when I took the reference photo at the local farm. However, I decided that it deserved something better. This sheep looked like it would be showing off some flamboyant pink horns, and you know what? I think they suit it perfectly. If there was a competition for the best horns, this guy would undoubtedly come in first place, hence the necklace. I wanted this piece to celebrate the unique personalities of the animals living and working around us.
