TITLE: Afternoon Nap

INSPIRATION: During a recent visit to Edinburgh zoo I spent a lot of time around the penguin enclosure, watching all penguins going about their day. There was lots of waddling, some truly beautiful underwater swimming and a few tender moment during feeding time. What really caught my eye though was a chunky little penguin sat on a pile of pebbles seemingly having a little nap. He had a smug look on his face, smug that he was so content and peaceful while all around him was a flurry of chaos and mayhem, and I felt compelled to paint this moment.
